Category Update In Progress

As you may notice, I have expanded the different Isekai categorizations. It may take some time for me to go through all of the posts and set the corresponding categories. Sorry about that.

But, for the time being, I’m happy to introduce the Category that took the most work, Length! As you may be able to tell from its name, this set of categories allow you to select a number of releases so you don’t have to start reading before finding out there are only two chapters released. I won’t do that by hand, however. I programmed my own WordPress plugin to automate the process. That way it can be updated as more chapters come out.

Now, I need to get to work classifying over 300 Isekai series. Thank you for your patience.

The Results & The Future of IsekaiCentral

So after 25o votes I’ve closed the poll. I was pretty amazed during the first hundred votes when the lead would switch whenever I checked the results. Soon enough, a winner pulled ahead and I think I got the message.

The winning response was ‘More content! Add LN/WN and Western Isekai’ with 41.6%. However, this wasn’t more than 50%. Thus, a majority of users that actually took the time out of their day to do the poll, don’t want ‘Western Isekai’ to be listed here. Because of this I’ve made a compromise.

From now on, I will be adding ‘Western Isekai’ and LN/WNs but I’ll be preventing them from showing up on the main page.┬áThat way, you’ll only have to see them if you go looking for them.

Now, with that over, I wanted to add a few things that have/will be happening here. The biggest change is that I’ll be redoing the Categories soon. They’ll be vastly expanded and fix a few of the issues that I have with the current system.

Next, I just wanted to brag a little. I’ve put out at least one post every day since January 7th, and sometimes as many as three per day. I’m attempting to keep up this streak going for as long as I can, and there are still quite a few in my backlog, so you can expect quite a lot of new content around here.

Finally, I wanted to thank you. This little site receives hundreds of unique visitors every day, and has seen tens of thousands of unique visitors since this site went online. Sometimes, I just stare at the hundreds of thousands of page views not knowing what to think. It’s amazing.

Thank you!

An Isekai Central Vote

Can you believe that it’s already been 9 months since I started this website!? It’s amazing how time flies when you’re reading Isekai. And with over 300 Isekai Manga/Anime listed and categorized on this site, there’s plenty to read.

Recently, however, I’ve been wondering whether this is enough. There is more Isekai out there than just what I have listed here. Many Light Novels and Web Novels are translated but don’t have a Manga adaptation yet. Of course, there are plenty of raw machine translations out there, but there are more than a few that have had genuine effort put into them. Additionally, there are many Western stories that carry on the ideals of Isekai.

So, should I start adding some of the better LN/WN and ‘Western Isekai’, or should I just stick to Japanese/Korean Isekai Manga/Anime?

What types of Isekai should this site focus on?

  • More content! Add LN/WN and Western Isekai. (42%, 104 Votes)
  • Nah. Keep the way it is. (35%, 87 Votes)
  • Japanese/Korean only. But I'm fine with LN/WN. (24%, 59 Votes)

Total Voters: 250
